The Kibalo family lives in Annapolis, MD. We are very excited about our trip to Kenya and Tanzania, and about working at the school.
Deborah has been a special education teacher for 28 years. She teaches students with moderate to severe disabilities. Her subjects include English, Science, Community Skills and Vocational Skills.
Tom has been an electronics engineer for 36 years. Currently, he is Principal Engineer at Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA. He also teaches electronics at the local community college.
Andrea will be turning 26 while in Africa. She graduated from Towson University in 2005 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. She worked for over 2 years at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center's Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program but recently left. She hopes to figure out what she wants to do with her life by the time she gets back – any ideas are appreciated!

I know Andrea as a great humanitarian. She is truly a person that cares about other people. She has participated in several charity events every year, for causes that are not just important to her, but causes that are important to her friends, and others all over the world. I love her, and I am very sorry about the passing of her grandmother, prior to this trip. But I am glad that you are going to be taking part in an experience that can possibly change your life.
